I sell houses across Central Ohio and I still work shifts as a registered nurse at Mount Carmel. People sometimes ask how those go together. They go together well.

Nursing is mostly explaining something complicated to someone having one of the worse weeks of their life, and then being accurate about what happens next. Buying a house is a smaller version of the same job. The part people find hardest isn't the paperwork — it's not knowing whether the thing they were just told is good news.

I've closed nine houses across Franklin, Delaware, Licking and Fairfield counties, on both sides of the table, from a $185,000 starter on Berkeley Road to a $480,000 four-bedroom in Pickerington. That's a real range and a small number, and I'd rather you know both.

Four steps, and you'll always know which one we're on.

  1. 01
    First conversation

Tell me what's going on in your life

Maybe your lease is up in March, there's a baby on the way, or you want to be closer to your mom. Whatever is behind the move, I want to hear it first. It shapes every house I send you, so I write it down and keep it in front of me.

  2. 02
    Looking

I'll do the scrolling for you

Your search is set to what you actually told me, so new homes show up the day they're listed and you're not wading through the whole county. When we tour, I'll tell you what I really think. If a house is overpriced or needs more work than it looks like, you'll hear it from me first.

  3. 03
    Making an offer

    We'll pick the number together

Before we write anything, I'll show you what similar homes nearby sold for and what an inspection usually turns up in a house that age. Then you decide. If you want to go higher than I would, that's your call, and I'll help you do it with your eyes open.

  4. 04
    Closing

You'll always know where things stand

Appraisals, title work, the lender asking for one more document: I keep an eye on all of it so nothing lands on you at the last minute. I still work shifts at Mount Carmel and plan around them, so a question you send in the morning gets an answer that day.

If a house isn't worth the price, I'll tell you.
If waiting six months is the smarter move, I'll tell you that too.

Every closing. Prices are what the homes sold for.
